- This data is a good measure of which driving schools offer you best value for money, but that is not the full story:
Larger driving schools make their money selling franchises to driving instructors. The more franchises they sell, the more money they earn. Companies like Red teach driving instructors and will give a franchise to any instructor who qualifies irrespective of how good they are. They will spend more money on advertising then most independent schools earn!
Smaller independent driving schools rely on their reputation to get business and are therefore under far more pressure to get results for their clients
Larger companies are often good at getting business then keeping clients paying for more driving lesson hours and unsuccessful driving tests
